Little nipper | Geograpsus grayi​​ H. Milne Edwards, 1853

Little nippers have a carapace of 45–50 mm width. They usually have a dark purple to dark brown/black topped carapace with pale undersides. Their claws are pale cream and their legs are pale with darker marks on the lower
sections. They have prominent dark yellow/pale brown eyes.

Common on Christmas Island from shore terraces to the inland plateau in scattered populations.
